Boyega And Cornish To Reunite For Attack The Block 2.

Moses to return to fight more aliens on the streets of South London.

A much-awaited sequel to Joe Cornish’s 2011 sci-fi comedy Attack The Block is now officially in the pipeline and actor John Boyega has confirmed that he will reprise his role of hero Moses.

Boyega made his acting debut on Attack the Block ten years ago as a tough, streetwise South London kid who is inadvertently forced to defend his neighbourhood from a maloveolent extraterrestrail invasion. In a recent interview with Deadline the Star Wars actor confirmed his return to the property for a sequel, with director Joe Cornish once more in the wheelhouse.

According to Cornish the passage of time since the original will be addressed in the sequel and play a part in the overall plot.

He explained: “I can’t wait to work alongside John again, bringing audiences an even bigger slice of inner-city alien action. I met with John a couple of months ago to talk about it. We’ve always had ideas after the first one. But obviously we’ve both been busy doing different things. In a way, the longer you leave it, the more interesting it is. So that’s all I say.”

So far there are no plot details, a release schedule or even a title for the sequel although it’s understood Cornish will also be writing the script.
