Jean-Claude Van Damme For Avengers 2?

Before you get all steamed up, the headline is in fact a question. The reason it’s not a statement is because Jean-Claude himself cranked up the Internet rumour machine surrounding his involvement in the sequel to Avengers Assemble.

The actor took to Facebook this week and stated:

I read that Chris Hemsworth, (star of Thor and brother of Liam Hemsworth, The Expendables 2), would like me to co-star in The Avengers 2 movie! Well, it would be fun to play one of those types of amazing comic book characters again. By the way, I am a big fan of Marvel’s superhero Silver Surfer and also another heroic fictional character known as Doc Savage – the Man Of Bronze.

Of course neither of these characters can appear in an Avengers movie due to differing rights over the properties, but kudos Jean-Claude for putting yourself and the suggestion of your involvement out there. Over to you Joss Whedon.
