Terminator Genisys Is Now A Reset.

So the trailer for Terminator: Genisys dropped last week and the Internet went into meltdown. I have to be honest I have been less than enthusiastic for this movie ever since it was initially announced, but after watching the trailer a few times I was struck by two distinctive elements.

The first was that it actually exceeded my expectations both in visuals and scope but the second thing I observed was that Genysis could herald the beginning of a brand new genre of film: The Reset.

Forget a straight sequel or prequel, fancy remake or complicated reboot we are now entering into the age of the reset, where elements of the original movie are reproduced but the plot is then altered, veering our once favourite characters off into a different direction.
