New Bridget Jones Movie On The Way As Is Her Baby.

Yep, the most natural progression for the Bridget Jones franchise following the main character’s wedding in Edge Of Reason, was for Bridget to fall pregnant and that’s exactly the premise for the forthcoming third film.

Slated for release on September 16th, 2016 it’s been confirmed that Renée Zellweger will return along with Colin Firth with the addition of  Patrick Dempsey to the cast. Obviously a lot of water has passed under the bridge in the ten years since the last instalment, but now those waters are ready to break, (see what I did there?), as the clumsy, hopeless romantic tackles parenthood.

Putting aside the fact that almost a decade has passed since the last Bridget Jones movie Universal Pictures must be confident of success, especially when you consider that the last two films collectively raked in over $500m at the box office.

Something tells me there might be a scene involving a baby’s bowel movement which will descend into chaos, probably in public, much to the hilarious humiliation of the main character(s).
