Jackie Brown Prequel Has A Cast.

In news which, for some reason, completely passed me by there’s not only going to be a prequel for Quentin Tarantino’s underrated crime movie Jackie Brown but a cast has already been lined up.

Tim Robbins and Will Forte will join Jennifer Aniston, John Hawkes, Mos Def and Isla Fisher. The Switch will be based upon the Elmore Leonard book of the same name which was printed in 1978.

What’s interesting is that Hawkes will play a younger version of Robert De Niro’s character Louis Gara and Samuel L Jackson’s character Odell Robbie will also feature albeit in younger form too, played by Mos Def. The basic plot of The Switch revolves around the kidnapping of a corrupt Detroit real estate developer’s wife, who enlists the men who captured her to enact revenge on her husband after he refuses to pay the ransom.

The Switch will be adapted for the screen and directed by Dan Schechter.
