20,000 Leagues Remake To Film In Oz.
In case you didn’t already know Disney are planning to remake the 1954 movie 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea, which was adapted for the screen from the classic book of the same name by Jules Verne.
It’s been confirmed that filming will take place in Australia with a $21.6m cash injection for the production from the Australian government. Fans of the original movie and the book will be relieved to learn the much loved property is in the capable hands of director David Fincher, although no word yet on any casting decisions.
Rumours have been circualting the Internet that Brad Pitt may be pencilled in to play the main protagonist Ned Land, which would make sense considering the healthy collaboration Fincher and Pitt have had on previous projects.
