Yes, it’s happening and it doesn’t matter how many meatball sandwiches you cram into your tooth box to take your mind off this news, it’s still happening.

The much loved surfer/bank heist cult classic Point Break is getting it’s bleach blonde hair did and an all over body wax thanks to Alcon Entertainment, who have handed the task of re-making Kathryn Bigelow’s 1991 smash hit to director Ericson Core, (Invincible).

The new version of the film is set in the world of international extreme sports, and like the original involves an undercover FBI agent infiltrating a criminal ring.

And that’s pretty much it for now, the studio are keeping all other plot points under wraps, even though it’s a remake and most people already know how the movie will end.
