Godzilla Sequel Gets A Green Light.

In news which should surprise no-one who’s seen Gareth Edwards’ Godzilla over the weekend Hollywood has green-lit a sequel following astronomical box office takings on opening weekend.

Raking in over $100m worldwide in just three days Godzilla is on track to be one of the biggest movies of 2014 and so Legendary Pictures and Warner haven’t wasted a second in capitalizing on its success by confirming that a sequel is now in the works.

Edwards has already hinted that he’d welcome the chance to direct a sequel as he feels more can be added to the original story so we’d expect to see him return to the director’s chair. More news when it comes.
