Damien To Return In Omen Remake.

The last time Hollywood decided to remake the classic 1976 horror movie The Omen they produced a fairly lucklustre and paltry affair starring Liev Schreiber and Julia Stiles but that was back in 2006 and although that’s only 8 human years ago, in Hollywood time that’s well over a century and so the property is ripe once more for yet another remake.

As anyone with a passing interest in cinema knows The Omen was famous for it’s young protagonist Damien Thorn, a creepy child who ends up being…(Warning: 38 year-old spoiler alert)…the anti-christ.  Now Bloody Disgusting are reporting thatTwentieth Century Fox are to team up with Platimun Dunes to bring us a second remake of The Omen.

Of course at this early stage no director or stars have been officially attached to this project. This is a pretty confusing concept as there’s already been three movies in the original trilogoy with the aformentioned remake in 2006 and a further two TV movies made in the 90s. But obviously Hollywood feels the property hasn’t been thoroughly exhausted yet.
