Earlier this week at the San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios unveiled some concept art for Joss Whedon’s much-anticipated Avengers sequel: Avengers: Age Of Ultron. Like an orgy of geek based violence the poster above displays all the main Avengers with two new added members thrown into the mix, Scarlet Witch, played by Elizabeth Olsen, (Oldboy, Godzilla) and Quicksilver, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, (Kick-Ass, Godzilla).
Age Of Ultron will pick up from the original film with S.H.I.E.L.D. now destroyed the assembled group of superheros are lagging and feeling worn-out from protecting earth from threat after threat. In steps Tony Stark who develops Ultron, a self-aware, self-teaching, artificial intelligence, (James Spader), who can assess threats and control Stark’s Iron Legion. However, things quickly go awry when Ultron decides that humans are the main enemy and sets out to eradicate them from Earth.
Age Of Ultron is set for release for May 1, 2015.
