Ving Rhames To Return For M:I5.

Earlier today writer/director Christopher McQuarrie took to twitter and posted up the above message, officially acknowledging the return of actor Ving Rhames back into the fold for Mission: Impossible 5.

Throughout the franchise Rhames has played Luther Stickell, the only character besides Ethan Hunt to appear in all four previous films, who will return under McQuarrie’s direction. There’s zero detail on plot at this stage except that Simon Pegg and Jeremy Renner are both set to reprise their roles for the fifth installment of the franchise with a screenplay from Drew Pearce, the man responsible for Iron Man 3 and the forthcoming Sherlock Holmes 3.

There’s also a rumour floating around the Internet that Alec Baldwin may be in line for a role of a CIA boss.
