The Boba Fett Spin-Off Movie Will Be A Prequel.

Following on from J.J. Abrams’ much anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens at the end of this year will be the first of many planned anthology spin-off features.

The first will be Gareth Edwards’ prequel Rogue One, which centres on the story of how a group of rebel fighters managed to steal the plans for the Death Star with the next scheduled anthology movie being the Boba Fett origin story.

It’s understood that this film will also feature a load more bounty hunters from the Star Wars universe but will be set in a separate universe distancing itself from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, episodes VIII and IX. Nothing much else is known about this Boba Fett prequel except of course audiences will learn so much more about the cult character.

As of last Friday the production is now actively searching for a new director following the surprise departure of Fantastic Four and Chronicle director Josh Trank.
