First Official Trailer For Jungle Book Remake.

Here’s your first official look at Jon Favreau’s live-action remake of Disney’s iconic Jungle Book based on Rudyard Kipling’s original story.

Child actor Neel Sethi fleshes out the role of Mowgli, an orphan raised by jungle animals which all appear to be computer generated, complete with voices from talent such as Scarlett Johansson, (Kaa), Christopher Walken, (King Louie), Ben Kingsley, (Bagheera), Idris Elba, (Shere Khan) and Bill Murray, (Baloo).

On first impressions it looks like the remake is a wholly serious affair, dare I say ‘grittier’ approach to the original story which is a shame as it looks devoid of any of the fun which made the Disney adaptation so popular. But there’s that final snippet at the end of the trailer which reinstalled my faith in this movie. More of that please Jon.

The Jungle Book opens in the UK on April 15, 2016.
