No More Mad Max Movies For George Miller.
It appears director George Millar, famous for creating the Mad Max franchise, will not be making any more of the apocalyptic based films and that he is now done once and for all with them.
In a shock announcement which has appeared on website Page Six, (which is also yet to be confirmed), details how Miller has been quoted as saying:
“I won’t make more ‘Mad Max’ movies. ‘Fury Road’ with Charlize Theron, Zoë Kravitz, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Riley Keough was forever getting completed. If you finish one in a year, it’s considered a leap of faith. Start, stop, start again.
“I’ve shot in Australia in a field of wild flowers and flat red earth when it rained heavily forever. We had to wait 18 months and every return to the US was 27 hours. Those ‘Mad Maxes’ take forever. I won’t do those anymore.”
Fans of Fury Road will recall how not long after the movies release and subsequent roaring succes, Miller declared a sequel script had been written and would be going into production immediately. Now it seems, if this statement is true, that the project will never see the light of day.
We live in hope.
