Here’s your first official footage of the Jurassic World movie Fallen Kingdom, the sequel to the highly successful 2015 film Jurassic World, courtesy of Colin Trevorrow’s twitter account.
Admittedly it’s nothing more than a six second clip of Chris Pratt petting a cute, baby raptor, (because as history tells us baby raptors were the cutest of all the dinosaurs), but you get the idea that this movie will continue to push the special effects to its very limits, both through CGI and animatronics.
The actual plot of Fallen Kingdom is still sketchy but all the main players, Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, B.D. Wong will reprise their roles with new faces Rafe Spall, Toby Jones and James Cromwell now onboard with a special return from Jeff Goldblum, who will once more play Dr Ian Malcom from the original Jurassic Park films.
Although Colin Trevorrow directed Jurassic World he has co-written this sequel but passes directing duties onto J.A. Bayona, (The Orphanage, The Impossible), who is promising the sequel will feature a lot more practical effects rather than CGI. Something critics of Jurassic World were rather vocal about two years ago. Still, it didn’t stop the movie raking in over $1.5b in box office receipts.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is set for release on June 22nd, 2018.
