Steve Guttenberg Tweets A New Police Academy Movie Is In The Bag

What this world needs right now, to make you forget about all the rancid, putrid, depressing stuff that’s currently happening, is a new Police Academy movie. Yes I know there’s already been seven in total but come on, it’s Police Academy.

Fans of the franchise went crazy last week after actor Steve ‘Mahoney’ Guttenberg tweeted a reply to a question about the prospect of a new movie.

First noises were made about a further installment in the popular comedy franchise back in 2012 but since then there’s been no real details.  Anyone who doubts the continued popularity of the Police Academy would be wise to remember that the seventh and final movie to date, Mission To Moscow, was made for $10m and took in box office receipts of over $100m.
