Deadpool 3 Keeps R Rating.
As everyone’s favourite mouthy mercenary Deadpool prepares to return for a third time Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige has now confirmed that he will remain sweary and excessively violent, as the new movie will be rated R.
In a recent interview with Collider, promoting the new Disney+ Marvel series WandaVision, Feige opened up about some Deadpool 3 details including its rating.
He said: “It will be rated R and we are working on a script right now, and Ryan’s overseeing a script right now.”
But due to recent more restrictive COVID measures globally, he didn’t think that shooting will happen this year with Marvel Studios now focusing on other developments.
He continued: “It will not be [filming] this year. Ryan is a very busy, very successful actor. We’ve got a number of things we’ve already announced that we now have to make, but it’s exciting for it to have begun. Again, a very different type of character in the MCU, and Ryan is a force of nature, which is just awesome to see him bring that character to life.”
A major positive from this confirmation is that Deadpool continues to maintain it’s edge and adult theme, is an MCU instalment and with Reynolds involvement means the project is in great health. Fans will just have to wait that little bit longer.
