Whalberg Wants To Remake Point Blank.

If like me you just punched the computer after reading that headline because you’re a huge fan of the John Boorman 1967 classic starring Lee Marvin, then rest easy as it’s a different Point Blank all together.

Apparently Mark Whalberg, actor/terrorist thumper isn’t content at remaking one foreign film, (Contraband), for American audiences the star is already setting his sights on adapting a French action thriller for US cinemas.

For those of you unfamiliar with the 2010 film Point Blank you should definitely give it a viewing, not because it’s a taught, edge-of-your-seat thriller about a man who has to help a convicted murderer escape in order to save his pregnant wife, but because the remake will probably be shit.
