Sequel Plans For Pacific Rim.

The film hasn’t even been released yet, in fact we need to wait another full eighth months before we get to see the Guillermo Del Toro sci-fi feature Pacific Rim, but already there’s plans for a sequel.

Such is the box office confidence in Del Toro’s monster feature that screenwriter Travis Beacham has been given the nod to co-write the sequel with the director even though it’s unclear whether Del Toro will return to direct the follow-up.

Production on Pacific Rim 2 is slated to begin in 2014 and unsurprisingly there aren’t any plot details although a good guess is that it will involve more giant robots and monsters.
