Dredd DVD Sales Spike Following Sequel Rumour.

A while back I reported that not all hope was lost for a sequel to last years highly underrated and enjoyable Judge Dredd movie Dredd. A few key players tied to the film admitted that if Dredd performed well through DVD sales then obviously industry execs would need to crunch the numbers and establish if there was a big enough audience to merit a sequel.

Well I’m delighted to report that the Dredd Blu-Ray was recently sitting at the number one slot in UK DVD sales on Amazon.co.uk and had rocketed up from 260th to 30th on the Amazon.com DVD chart.

What does this sudden spike in popularity for the film mean now? We can’t be sure, but it certainly feels like things are starting to move in the right direction.
