Jason Sudeikis Might Be Fletch

Comedic actor Jason Sudeikis, (Horrible Bosses, We’re The Millers), is officially in talks to play the iconic, cult role of investigative reporter Fletch, for what Warner Bros are hoping will be a ‘gritty‘ remake of the much loved Chevy Chase original.

This project has been bouncing around Hollywood for some time but now with Sudeikis set to flesh out the role it seems that development on the Fletch remake will finally get underway. Details about the the movie are still sketchy but Warner Bros have confirmed it will be titled Fletch Won and will be a gritty origin story which will fall more in line with the Gregory McDonald books, rather than the concentrated comedic approach which the original undertook.

If Sudeikis agrees to terms focus will then fall on securing a director for the project.
