Here’s some snaps of Denzel Washington filling out the shoes of former covert operations officer Robert McCall, a role originally played by British actor Edward Woodward back in the 80s for the cult TV series The Equalizer.

The big screen reboot will retain the main elements of the original series and will also feature Chloe Grace Moretz, (Kick-Ass, Carrie), who plays a young prostitute who runs into a load of trouble involving the Russian mafia and looks to McCall for help.

The Equalizer will open in the UK on 10 October 2014.
