It appears Arrested Development actrees Judy Greer could be fleshing out the role of Jamie Lee Curtis’ daughter in the forthcoming Halloween reboot.
Talks are underway to add Greer to the cast and if confirmed she would play Karen Strode daughter of Laurie Strode, a role which Jamie Lee Curtis recently annunced she would be reprising. It’s been 40 years since the original Halloween movie when director John Carpenter terrified audiences across the world with the murderous antics of the now iconic Michael Myers.
The reboot, which has been scripted by comedian Danny McBride and David Gordon Green, who is a producer on McBride’s current comedy series Vice Prinicpals, is rumoured to continue a few years after the events of the 1978 original, by-passing and ignoring the legion of sub-standard Halloween sequels and returning to the original roots of the horror franchise.
Speaking to Deadline recently McBride explained how he and Green wanted to take the story back to the beginning and that their ambition is to strip it down and have it grounded a little more in reality.
The Halloween reboot is scheduled for release on October 19th, 2018
