I literally don’t know where to begin with this.
Here’s the trailer for The Iron Mask a movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jackie Chan, which looks like a hybrid of Pirates Of The Carribean, The Man In The Iron Mask and Big Trouble In Little China.
Don’t bother trying to look this movie up on Wikipedia or IMDB as it isn’t listed there under that title, for some reason it’s listed under Journey To China: The Mystery Of Iron Mask. Which is also know as Viy 2 which is a sequel to the 2014 movie Viy.
Confused? Wait until you see the trailer.
The plot for The Iron Mask aka Viy 2 aka Journey To China: The Mystery Of Iron Mask rattles along like so:
Set in the 18th century, the film follows the continuing exploits of cartographer Jonathan Green, (played by Jason Flemyng), as he undertakes a scientific and supernatural journey that leads him from England to China.
Apparently, Flemyng’s character Jonathan Green already made a passage through Translyvania in the first film and clashed with evil forces in a cursed village in Ukraine. Now he’s back in England and has to make a journey to China hence the first alternative title for this movie.
In the trailer, we see Schwarzenegger as an 18th-century English red coat, (yeah, we know), doing battle with Jackie Chan who looks like a stereotypical Kung Fu master. But as the trailer progresses we see no more of the duo which implies the two actors are only in this movie for that one scene only.
The Iron Mask aka Viy 2 aka Journey To China: The Mystery Of Iron Mask is scheduled for U.S. release on April 10th, no word on a UK or European release date yet.
