Mysterious Spider Man Spin-Off Movie In The Works.

Following the first Spider-Man spin-off movie Venom back in 2018, fans have not been short of future spin-offs to look forward to, with a Venom sequel in October and Morbius, another Spider-Man adversary who will be played by Jared Leto, later this year.

If that wasn’t enough a fourth spin-off Spider-Man movie is in the works but nothing is known about this property as it’s shrouded in secrecy. What we do know is the confirmed date for ‘Untitled Sony/Marvel’ movie will be October 8, 2021 which will be only three months after the third official Spider-Man movie.

With any link to Venom and Morbius firmly ruled out the Internet has been furiously trying to piece together the identity of the forthcoming mystery property. One theory gathering pace is that it’s a Sinister Six movie, much like DC’s Suicide Squad, this would be a team-up film featuring a number of Spider-Man supervillains which would comprise of Vulture, Dr Octopus, Mysterio, Sandman, Krave The Hunter and Electro. This theory could have credence considering Mysterio was featured in Spider-Man: Far From Home, (played by Jake Gyllenhaal), and even Vulture, (Michael Keaton) popped up with a quick cameo.

Another theory is that the movie could be a Kraven The Hunter spin-off, an already proposed project which has been languishing on Sony’s lot for some time, with Richard Wenk, (The Equalizer), already attached to pen the script and director Ryan Coogler, (Black Panther) rumoured to helm the project.

One thing’s for sure as these Sony spin-offs continue, based in a Marvel universe, the confusion and theories will continue for some time.
