Trailer For The Conjuring Prequel – Annabelle.
One of the biggest success stories of last year was the horror movie The Conjuring, directed by James Wan the man responsible for the Saw franchise and Insidious. The film starred Patrick Wilson, (Watchmen), and Verma Farmiga, (The Departed), as married paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, (based on the real-life couple who investigated the paranormal in America for decades). The two end up caught up in a haunting in a farmhouse in Rhode Island in 1971.
The Conjuring was made for a lean $20m and raked back over $300m at the box office leading to the immediate green light for a sequel which will be released in October 2015 and already goes by the official title of The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist. But before that we have a prequel, a spin-off movie called Annabelle, a story based entirely on the creepy-as-f**k doll from the original, the trailer for which you can watch above.
Annabelle, just like The Conjuring is reportedly based on the true-story of a doll kept by Ed and Lorraine Warren in their very own Occult Museum located in their family home and the paranormal activity which followed the doll from home to home. Personally next to creepy, possesed children and clowns I can think of nothing more terrifying than evil dolls.
Annabelle is scheduled for release on October.
